While I really like this attitude I'm not sure if I'll participate
under this

You should consider using & promoting the Free Art License or the
Creative
Commons ShareAlike licenses.

They use Copyright as a vehicle to ensure Copyleft, i.e. a work which
is
released to be freely distributed and modified keeps that freedom. You
can't
take that away again.

So not respecting Copyright means to me "I'll take your work which you
actually want to be free to use and I make it unfree again". There are
worse
things which could happen to me and my work but I wouldn't like that.
